- Forest cover is the ratio of the area of land covered by forest to the total area of the country (or to the land area).
- Calculation method
- Forest cover is the degree to which a territory is covered by forests. It is calculated as the ratio of the area occupied by forests (Sлес) to the total area of the territory under study or of the country (Sобщ), multiplied by 100%. The indicator is calculated annually.
