About

Information and analytical panel of climate change adaptation indicators for the Republic of Tajikistan, built on Form No. 1-IK data.

Purpose and structure

The “Climate Change Adaptation” section consists of seven information and analytical products: general climate indicators and six key sectors — water management, forestry and biodiversity, industry and construction, agriculture, transport and infrastructure, and energy.

Each product includes a set of indicators by area of the UN Global Set of Climate Change Statistics and Indicators (drivers, impacts, vulnerability, mitigation, adaptation), reporting-year values, historical series and trend combinations for joint analysis.

Sources of the structure

  • Form No. 1-IK after validation (01.09.2026): 135 indicators, definitions, methods, responsible agencies, values for 2025.
  • Interim report by K. A. Loshadkin (03.08.2026): dashboard architecture, 37 trend combinations, analytical profiles.
  • Terms of reference for the IAP CCA web platform (16.09.2026).

Sources of values

Each series point is labelled with its source. The “Official only” switch hides all unofficial points — this is how the public version will look.

  • Form 1-IK

Official data: Form No. 1-IK, values reported by agencies

  • Calculated from form

Unofficial: calculation or unit conversion based on form data

  • Open sources

    Unofficial: open and international sources

  • Test data

Unofficial: test data generated to check the dashboard

Open sources in the series: World Bank (urban population share), ADB (2021 GDP growth), CAREC and OSHC Barqi Tojik (electricity generation). Values are approximate and must be reconciled with the Statistics Agency.

How to read the charts

  • A trend combination is a set of panels sharing a year axis; each panel has its own value scale. Two scales on one chart create a false impression of a relationship between series.
  • Temperature and precipitation anomalies are shown as diverging bars from the 1991–2020 normal line: blue means colder (or wetter), red warmer, brown drier. The strip above the temperature chart shows “climate stripes” in the same colours.
  • “Index = 100” mode rebases series to the first available year; series with zero or negative values are not indexed.
  • A solid marker is an official Form No. 1-IK value; a hollow marker (or light bar) is unofficial. The source of each point is shown in the tooltip and in the table view.
  • Chart annotations are based only on facts from the form and the open sources listed.

Data entry and publication

  • Administrator — full access: indicators, texts in three languages, reference lists, users and settings.
  • Coordinator — decides which indicators and years are published on the dashboard and approves submitted values.
  • Data entry operator — a ministry or agency employee who enters values for their agency's indicators; new values are published after review by the coordinator.

Data is stored in a SQL Server database and edited in the “Administration” section after signing in. The public site shows only published indicators and values.
